Incident in Tskhinvali colony provokes conflict in parliament
During an extraordinary session of the parliament of South Ossetia, at which the incident in the Tskhinvali colony was discussed, physical force was used against some MPs, the parliamentarians wrote in a Telegram channel.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 5, at least 6 inmates of the Tskhinvali colony were hospitalized with laceration wounds after a conflict with the colony administration. Inmates' relatives gathered outside South-Ossetian parliament and demanded to investigate the incident. They stated that the convicts had been beaten up.
The extraordinary session of the South-Ossetian parliament, where the incident in the Tskhinvali colony was discussed, was held on June 6.
At a meeting with the MPs, President Anatoly Bibilov and heads of law enforcement bodies repeated the earlier voiced version of the incident, saying that "there were no convicts' beatings."
During the session, the MPs were accused of defending the interests of the "criminal world," says the statement said, a copy of which has been posted today by the "Gazyri" Telegram channel.
"Some MPs were insulted and impacted physically," said the statement, which, allegedly, was signed by 17 MPs.
