Instagram users demand proofs of guilt of Dagestanis killed in CTO
The alleged militants killed in Dagestan had recently returned to their native village from Moscow, where they left for earnings, a source of the "Kommersant" newspaper asserts. Law enforcers should provide proofs of their links with militants, commentators to the posts about the counterterrorist operation (CTO) insist, recalling the murder of the Gasanguseinov shepherds.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 22, six people were killed in a shootout with law enforcers in a forest in the Khasavyurt District. The Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has announced that the casualties were linked with the "Islamic State" (IS or ISIL), a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation by the court, and planned terror acts. A law enforcer was wounded in the shootout. Five of the six casualties have been identified, a source said, adding that they are natives of the village of Endirey, aged 19 to 23, who had allegedly planned attacks on officials and policemen.
Commentators in social networks expressed different opinions about the militants' activities and law enforcers' actions.
"This was their choice; a person chooses his own path ... They could kill innocent people; law enforcers were just ahead of them. And it seems to me that everyone who embarks on this road should understand that death awaits him," said the user tlisheva_darieta.
Some commentators are wondering why law enforcers couldn't take the alleged militants alive, and are surprised at a large number of military equipment involved in the CTO.
"Why do you kill them right away? Well, can't you capture them alive, or don't you have enough training? The guys are young; their brains could have been cleaned. Maybe it was possible to work with them?" the user toujours_heureux83 has asked.
