Kadyrov demands to punish protesters from Gudermes CDH

The head of Chechnya has ordered to bring the medics of the Gudermes Central District Hospital (CDH), who had complained about the working conditions, to responsibility. The same concerned their relatives, while the author of the message about a doctor's death was blamed as a provocateur, and Kadyrov demanded fire him.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that medics of the CDH confessed, on air of the "Grozny" ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Company), that their complaints about the lack of protective means were unjustified. The nurse, Markha Ibragimova, has apologized for spreading the message that the doctor, Baret Baudinova, had died from coronavirus.

"Provocateurs should be fired. We have enough of everything – equipment, protective suits and medical masks," the head of Chechnya has stated.

Fatima, an activist of one of the NGOs, has disapproved the position of the authorities. "Kadyrov has demanded to apply the principle of collective responsibility, indicating that fathers, brothers and husbands of the women, who had disseminate voice messages, were made responsible for the actions of women-their relatives," she said.

According to Chechen Adats, male blood relatives shall bear responsibility for the women-relatives' misconduct, Tamara Shavlaeva, a historian, has explained. "Male close relatives are responsible for the misconduct of their relatives," she has added.
