Instagram users criticize law enforcers' reports on search for militants in Ingushetia

In the area of a special operation under way in the Sunzha District, unidentified people opened fire on lanterns and sawed a tree revered by a community of Batal-Khadji followers, a source reported. For a long time, there are no militant units in Ingushetia, Instagram users said after law enforcers had started the special operation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 13, operative-search actions were launched over the Assa River in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia. Law enforcers are combing forests in a search for a grouping of militants led by Aslan Byutukaev (also known as Amir Khamzat), who is considered to be the organizer of the attack on Grozny in 2014, sources report.

After the start of the special operation, the militants could leave for the territory of neighbouring Chechnya, a source has reported today.

According to the source, the above version was put forward on the basis of reports from local residents and a video with several armed men walking on the outskirts of the Surkhakhi village at night. The source also reported about an incident, in which, according to the law enforcement bodies, the militants might be involved. "Unidentified people opened fire on lanterns and video surveillance cameras from assault weapons, and they used a chain saw to damage a tree revered by the community of Batal-Khadji followers," the "Interfax" quoted its source as reporting.

Instagram users wrote critical remarks concerning the report about the search for militants in Ingushetia. "Militants have long died out like dinosaurs, but the Chekists' idea is still alive, and they continue their searches," user ovshnclab wrote a comment under the today's post in the public account vesti_ingushetii on Instagram.
