Daudov associates protest of Gudermes hospital with chief doctor's mistakes (+video)

In Gudermes, the chief doctor of the Central District Hospital failed to understand his staff and explain to his subordinates that the hospital was only preparing to receive patients diagnosed with the coronavirus infection, so the staff did not need protective gear, said Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 14, the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta" made public an appeal from the staff of the Gudermes Central District Hospital who complained about the lack of protective gear and the need to buy protective items by themselves. After Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, had visited the Central District Hospital, the chief doctor was dismissed. Shakhid Akhmadov, the former Chechen Minister for Public Health, was appointed the new chief doctor of the Gudermes Central District Hospital.

On May 14, live on his Instagram page, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, explained the situation with the protest voiced by the staff of the Gudermes Central District Hospital.

Magomed Daudov has noted that no patients diagnosed with the coronavirus infection had yet been brought to the Gudermes Central District Hospital, and the hospital simply began to prepare for their admission.

According to Magomed Daudov, the chief doctor tried to explain the situation to the staff of the Gudermes Central District Hospital, but he failed to find common ground with them.

Magomed Daudov noted that he had met the heads of all departments of the hospital in Gudermes, and they did not voice any complaints about the alleged lack of protective gear or medicines. The speaker of the Chechen parliament noted: "A hospital employee answered me and said that if patients diagnosed with the coronavirus infection were brought to the hospital, then the doctors 'would like to look at antiplague suits'." In the absence of patients suffering from COVID-19, Magomed Daudov treated such a requirement as "unreasonable and inciting trouble."
