Instagram users criticize MIA's version about arson attacks in North Ossetia

A resident of Irafsky District set fire to a school, a kindergarten, and a private building out of personal hostility, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported. The police version of hooliganism is unconvincing, note Instagram users. They suggest that someone's economic interests stay behind the arson attacks.

At once three arson attacks occurred in the village of Surkh-Digora in North Ossetia within several days. "First, a school building that had been operating successfully for several decades was burned down, then an uninhabited building belonging to one of the villagers and a kindergarten were burned down. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the incidents," the MIA of North Ossetia reports.

Law enforcers detained a 19-year-old villager on the charge of arson. "The young man confessed that his illegal actions were caused by his personal hostility. In particular, he set fire on the school in which he studied out of revenge, because he failed to get a certificate of secondary education," the police report in its statement.

The detainee's explanations sound unconvincing, user lev.pliev believes. "Well, this <man> was not given a certificate of secondary education, and [he therefore] set fire to the school. And why did he set fire to the kindergarten?" the social network user wondered.

The economic interests of some third parties stay behind the arson attacks, suggests user oleg_5942. "These premises (squares) will eventually be privatized by someone for a penny! This is an old trick, but it still works perfectly," wrote the social network user.
