"Amrakhbank" employees hold protest in Baku

In Baku, protesters have demanded to cancel the decision to withdraw the license from the commercial bank "Amrakhbank" and reinstate them at work.

The protest rally took place on April 30 in front of the head office of the bank; the protesters claimed that because of the decision to close the bank, over 700 employees are now jobless. They claim that there were no grounds for withdrawing the bank's license and demand to reinstate them at work, the "Turan" News Agency has reported.

According to protesters, they received no salary for April. "In such a difficult time, under the quarantine, we are left without work," the "Turan" quotes one of them.
