In the 4nd quarter of 2019, in Ingushetia, six persons fell victim to armed conflict

From October to December of 2019, in Ingushetia, six persons fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, two persons were killed, and four others were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

According to the official information, one of the killed persons was a militant, and another was a law enforcer. The number of the wounded persons includes a suspected militant and three law enforcers.

The provided statistics cannot reflect the number of victims with the 100 percent accuracy. Not all information is included in the news reports. It is not always possible to check the reliability of the statements voiced by the law enforcement bodies. Besides, new facts about the events of the reporting period become often known after the statistics had been already published on the "Caucasian Knot".

In the last quarter of 2019, all victims of the armed conflict in Ingushetia were registered in December. Six persons were wounded as a result of an attack on a road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) checkpoint. Two persons – a law enforcer and a suspected member of the armed underground – were killed. Four others were wounded, including three law enforcers and a suspected militant. No casualties were reported in November and October.

In the third quarter of 2019, three persons fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, one person was killed, and two others were wounded. In the second quarter of 2019, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in Ingushetia. In the first quarter of 2019, in Ingushetia, four persons fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, one person was killed, and three others were wounded.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, in Ingushetia, four persons fell victim to the armed conflict, including two killed and two wounded. In total, in 2018, in Ingushetia, at least 10 persons fell victim to the armed conflict. Of them, eight persons were killed, and two others were wounded. In 2017, at least 24 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia, including 11 killed and 13 wounded.
