Muslims call on Dagestani residents to pray instead of singing from balconies

During the pandemic, a person should pray and read the Koran and should not anger Allah with singing, claim users of social networks who oppose the campaign "A concert from a balcony".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the campaign "A concert from a balcony" was initiated by the Dagestani Ministry of Youth Affairs.

Social network users criticize the action from a religious point of view.

"They closed mosques, <...> and now they [started] singing from balconies. For example, I don't want to listen to any music. Let everyone do what they like at home without disturbing other people," wrote user umm_.asiya on the "Caucasian Knot" page on Instagram.

"In all other places, people listen to azan (a call to prayer, – note of the 'Caucasian Knot'), while Dag[estan] listens to music," complained user hrabraia_0994_ in the comments on the "Caucasian Knot" page on Instagram. "Let them make a dua (that is, pray, – note of the 'Caucasian Knot') for all Muslims and let them read the Koran on balconies," suggested user maret_5149. "You can make a collective dua. Entertainment is inappropriate at the moment. We must show our obedience to Allah, and he will protect us against the coronavirus infection," urged user ali_ba_ba095.
