Derbent residents disappeared in Chechnya found at law enforcers' place, relatives report

Three residents of Derbent, who stopped contacting their relatives and friends during a trip to Grozny, are being kept at one of the law enforcement bodies of Chechnya, a mother of one of the disappeared men reports. Before his disappearance, her son posted a video criticizing Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives of Derbent residents Nillan Aliev, Seidaidin Mustafaev, and Khakim Askerov complaint about their disappearance in Grozny on February 10. Today, the Dagestani police have announced that all three men are wanted as missing.

With reference to the relatives of the disappeared men, the "Baza" Telegram channel reported that one of the Derbent residents who did not return from Grozny criticized the leaders of Chechnya, and shortly before their disappearance, the Derbent residents posted a video on social networks with them smoking in front of the "Heart of Chechnya" Mosque. Instagram users suggested that the posted video became the reason for the disappearance of the Derbent men.

Nargiz Kazimova confirmed it was her son Seidaidin Mustafaev who posed with a cigarette in front of the mosque in Grozny, as a video posted in social networks showed.

According to the woman, the relatives of the disappeared Derbent residents have information that three men are being kept at a law enforcement body in Chechnya, the "Kavkaz.Realii" reports today.
