In Chechnya, there is no more fear of new attacks on Orthodox believers, say participants of the Christmas service at the Church of Archangel Mikhail in Grozny. Last night, law enforcers stayed on duty not only near the church, but also inside it.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, believers of the Russian and Georgian Orthodox churches celebrate the holiday of Christmas.
Residents of Grozny report about enhanced security measures taken by the police in the area of Kadyrov Avenue, where the only Orthodox Church in Grozny is located.
Local resident Timur notes he respects Orthodox believers.
On January 6, more than 100 people came to the festive service in the Grozny Church, said Elena, a resident of Grozny.
According to Natalia, another resident of Grozny, the tragic events of May 2018 did not affect her and her family members.
One of the priests of the Grozny Church reported that believers stayed calm, and there was no fear of new attacks.
In Chechnya, the Christmas services were held without any incidents, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
