Czech Republic extradites Serzh Sargsyan's nephew to Armenia
Narek Sargsyan, accused of possessing drugs and weapons, has been extradited from the Czech Republic and brought to Yerevan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Narek Sargsyan was detained in Prague on December 6, 2018. Back in June 2019, the Municipal Court of Prague satisfied the request of the Armenian party for the extradition of Narek Sargsyan; and this December, the Czech Ministry of Justice approved his extradition.
In early July 2018, the law enforcers, who visited Narek Sargsyan's home to check the legality of his acquisition of the drawings by the famous artist Martiros Saryan, found drugs and weapons there. The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia put him on the wanted list.
Narek Sargsyan has been extradited from the Czech Republic, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has conveyed the message of the press service of the Armenian Police. In a video posted on December 20 on the official YouTube channel of the Police, two masked law enforcers are escorting handcuffed Narek Sargsyan at Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan.
