In 3rd quarter of 2019, seven persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In the period from July to September 2019, at least seven persons fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, five were killed, and two others were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The death toll includes three persons involved, according to the law enforcement bodies, in the activities of the armed underground, and two law enforcers. One of the wounded was a law enforcer, while the other wounded was a civilian.

In the third quarter of 2019, Chechnya became the hottest spot in Northern Caucasus. In the period from July 1 to September 30, 2019, at least four persons were killed during an armed confrontation in Chechnya. According to the official information, two killed persons were involved in the activities of the militants, while the other two victims were law enforcers.

In the third quarter of 2019, in Ingushetia, three persons fell victim to the armed conflict, and one suspected member of the armed underground was killed. The number of the wounded persons included one law enforcer and one suspected member of the armed underground.

In Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, and the Stavropol Territory, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in the third quarter of 2019.
