Thirty-five Makhachkala residents support Gasanguseinovs' solo pickets

One week after the start of the action, the number of Makhachkala townspeople, who come to support Murtazali Gasanguseinov, the father of the slain shepherd brothers, has reached 35. Law enforcers have for the first time detained the picketers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Murtazali Gasanguseinov and activist Djambulat Gasanov have been holding daily pickets demanding to dismiss and bring to criminal liability the law enforcer, who, at the time of the murder of the shepherds-brothers, Murtazali's sons, held the position of the head of the Shamil ROVD (District Interior Division), and then reported on the killing of two militants.

On August 23, 2016, Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov, 17-year-old and 19-year-old brothers, were killed during an operation conducted by law enforcers in the Shamil District of Dagestan.

On November 21, Murtazali's wife, Patimat Gasanguseinova, the mother of the murdered brothers, joined the solo pickets held by Murtazali Gasanguseinov and Djambulat Gasanov. The picket held at the intersection of Dakhadaev and Gamzatov Streets, near the complex of buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the FSB Department for Dagestan, were also attended by Gasanguseinovs' relatives and simply sympathizing fellow countrymen, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the venue.

In total, over 35 persons attended the pickets: some of them took part therein, others simply supported Gasanguseinovs with their presence.

The policemen present at the venue did not interfere into the solo pickets, but after the end thereof they followed and brought two activists to the police station; however, when the picketers and concerned townspeople came to the station, the detainees were released.
