Kadyrov removes Daudov from heading territorial sector

Instead of Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, Lomali Baimuradov, Director General of the "Chechengazprom", has been appointed as the curator of the territorial sector that includes the Kurchaloi and Shali Districts.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 15, 2019, Ramzan Kadyrov split Chechnya into sectors and appointed his close law enforcers and officials to control the work of the municipalities within their sectors. The Kurchaloi and Shali Districts were under supervision of Speaker Daudov. By dividing Chechnya into sectors, Kadyrov has strengthened the manual control regime by copying the Russian administrative system at the republic's level, the political analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have noted.

Magomed Daudov has been removed as the curator of his sector, which is the home of the Kadyrov family and almost of all high-ranking figures in his encirclement. This was preceded by public criticism of Daudov by Kadyrov. At a meeting with officials on October 16, Kadyrov for the first time publicly condemned him, expressing his dissatisfaction with the way the Speaker performed as the sector curator, the "Kavkaz.Realii" has reported.

The Daudov's post of curator is now occupied by Lomali Baimuradov, Director General of the "Chechengazprom"; he was introduced at the meeting by Khamzat Kadyrov, the head of the Kurchaloi District, the "Grozny Inform" has reported today.
