Arrested Ingush activist complains of poor health

Ruslan Dzeitov, accused of attacking law enforcers at a protest action in Magas, reported a deterioration of his health state at the SIZO (pre-trial prison), his advocate reported. The term of the activist's arrest was extended until December 25.

On May 2, Ruslan Dzeitov was detained and arrested on the charge of attacking a policeman.

On March 26, without a sanction from the authorities, residents of Ingushetia extended the protests action in Magas, and on March 27, an attempt to disperse the rally led to clashes between protestors and law enforcers. In April, arrests of oppositionists were started in the republic. According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", at least 96 activists were persecuted after the March protests, and criminal cases were instituted against at least 29 of them.

"Ruslan Dzeitov experiences difficulties with breathing. He addressed a medical unit, where treatment was prescribed for him, but he said there was no effect," said Visit Tsoroev, an activist's advocate.

According to the advocate, on September 12, the court extended for three months, until December 25, the arrests of five residents of Ingushetia, including Ruslan Dzeitov, Adam Badiev, Rizvan Ozdoev, Amir Oskanov, and Mustafa Visegurov. They are all accused of throwing sticks and chairs at policemen.
