Kadyrov invited Moscow footballers, who left colony, to rehabilitate in "Akhmat" FC

The head of Chechnya has welcomed the decision on the conditional early relief (CER) of the football players of the "Krasnodar" and "Zenit" Football Clubs (FCs), Pavel Mamaev and Alexander Kokorin, and offered them to join the "Akhmat" FC in Grozny. Kokorin and Mamaev will not accept the invitation, Chechen football fans believe.

On May 8, 2019, the court sentenced Mamaev to a year and five months, and Kokorin – to one and a half years in colony.

On October 8, 2018, two officials suffered in a brawl involving Mamaev and Kokorin in Moscow. Mamaev and Kokorin were found guilty of intentionally causing minor harm to human health and hooliganism.

"They must show the whole society that they were to blame, and work, by scoring goals for their clubs. And if they are ready, we'll give them a chance to play for our team," Ramzan Kadyrov said on air of the "Grozny" TV Company.

He has expressed concern that the players "could lost their shape that had gained over the years." "I believe that they should have been released at once; not to imprison, but to fine them, so that they could apologize to the victims," Mr Kadyrov has noted.

Kokorin and Mamaev thanked Ramzan Kadyrov for his offer, the "Moscow Speaking" Radio reports.
