Social network users reprove Chechen minister for threats

The enmity among Chechens and Dagestanis is incited not by the invitation of Ramzan Kadyrov to a duel, but by the unrestrained reaction to this invitation, say commentators to the statement of Djambulat Umarov, the Minister for National Policy of Chechnya. A native of Dagestan has organized a reconciliatory action by "inviting" Chechens and Umarov personally to a supper in Moscow.

On August 21, Gadjimurad Isabekov, a Makhachkala resident, invited Ramzan Kadyrov to a duel for his words about Imam Shamil. "The 'brave men', who insult Kadyrov, run the risk of 'crawling at his feet' asking for a pardon," Minister Umarov has threatened. The rights defenders interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have treated these duel challenges as a farce.

Residents of Dagestan have protested against the words of Kadyrov, who had accused Imam Shamil of using repressions against Chechens for their unwillingness to confront the Russian Empire.

Social network commentators have criticized Umarov for his harsh words. "An adult man, moreover, a person invested with power should not succumb to provocations," the user _kasandra24_ wrote.

Let us also note here that in his dispute about Imam Shamil, Kadyrov expressed threats to his opponents. These words give rise to a new wave of Chechen-Dagestani confrontation, while the nature of his statements is unacceptable for the level of a head of the region, residents of Chechnya have noted.
