NKR accuses Azerbaijan of 90 shelling attacks during week

On June 23-29, Azerbaijani soldiers fired 600 shots at the positions of the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the NKR's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated. In its turn, Azerbaijan stated that within the week, the ceasefire regime was violated with rare single shots.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 16-22, the NKR counted over 190 attacks on its positions, including from mortars and grenade launchers.

"On June 23-29, the opponent violated the ceasefire regime for more than 90 times on the contact line of the Artsakh (NKR, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") Armed Forces, firing about 600 shots at Armenian combat posts from various-calibre firearms," says the statement posted on the website of the NKR's MoD, which has also emphasized that the Defence Army, in its turn, strictly observes the truce.

From the morning of June 22 till today's morning, the Azerbaijani MoD fixed a relative calm situation in the conflict zone. "In some front sectors, the ceasefire regime was violated by rare single shots," the MoD said today on its website, informing about the situation on the troops contact line over the past 24 hours.
