North-Ossetian minister excludes any changes of border with Ingushetia

Authorities of North Ossetia have completed the coordination of the border with Chechnya and are ready to do the same with other neighbouring republics, Aslan Tsutsiev, the Minister for National Relations of North Ossetia, has announced. His republic denies any territorial claims of Ingushetia and would not revise the border therewith, Mr Tsutsiev has stressed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the "Rosreestr" (the Russian Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography) demanded to update 25 borders between the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and enter the data thereon into the Unified State Register of Real Estate before 2021.

As part of this work, the North-Ossetian-Chechen border has already been updated. In 2019, North Ossetia intends to define its borders with Kabardino-Balkaria and the Stavropol Territory; the same work is to be done with Ingushetia, the above Minister Tsutsiev said at a press conference in Vladikavkaz on June 25.

The minister has also drawn attention to Ingush territorial claims. "Ingushetia has certain territorial claims to our republic; we know about it; they are talking about it; and it is written down in the Ingush Constitution. We deny these territorial claims," the "EADaily" quotes Mr Tsutsiev as stating.
