Ingush residents hold collective prayer in support of activists

In Magas, policemen who were patrolling the namaz prayer area joined the collective prayer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 20, residents of Ingushetia recorded a video appeal to Vladimir Putin to complain about unreasonable persecution of their relatives and friends after a rally in Magas. On June 19, the Council of Teips (family clans) posted on its YouTube channel an appeal to residents of Ingushetia with a call to perform a collective Friday prayer on the site of the mosque under construction in Magas in protest against the persecution of the Ingush activists.

Today, residents of Ingushetia have gathered for Friday prayer Juma-namaz at the site of the mosque under construction in Magas. The prayer lasted from 12:20 a.m. till almost 1:10 p.m. Moscow time, with interruptions.

Adjoining streets were patrolled by police cars and law enforcers, some of whom performed the namaz together with the people, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported.

"We will make a dua (appeal to Allah) for our brothers, who are imprisoned, being not guilty, until they are released," the elders stated.
