Azerbaijan reports shelling of two villages in conflict zone

The armistice regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated for 21 times; the positions of Azerbaijani militaries stationed in two villages bordering on Armenia came under fire, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 19, 2019, the Azerbaijani MoD counted 22 shelling attacks in the conflict zone.

On May 19-20, the ceasefire was violated for 21 times, the Azerbaijani MoD reported on its website. The positions of Azerbaijani military servicemen located in the village of Agbulag in the Tovuz District, and in the village of Zamanly in the Gadabay District were shelled, the MoD has reported. The fire was delivered both from Armenia and the territories "near the occupied villages," the report says.

As of 9:15 p.m. Moscow time on May 20, there were no comments on this statement on the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
