MMA champion arrested for attacking policemen in North Ossetia
The court granted the investigators' requests concerning a pre-trial restriction measure to three men detained for attacking inspectors of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) in the Ardon District. Two of them, including Mikhail Gazaev, the MMA European champion, were arrested, and the third detainee was left under house arrest.
On May 15, the Department for North Ossetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported about the detention of three persons who attacked policemen. Two DPS inspectors were hospitalized. Mikhail Gazaev, the MMA European champion, is involved in the case as one of the suspects, report sources from the law enforcement bodies.
