Magomed Mutsolgov reports Nalgiev's whereabouts

The Ingush activist Ismail Nalgiev, whose location after his deportation from Belarus was unknown to his relatives and advocates, was handed over to investigators in Nalchik, the human rights defender, Magomed Mutsolgov, has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ismail Nalgiev, the coordinator of the organization "Choice of Ingushetia", was detained on May 8 at the Minsk airport, from where he had planned to fly to the Czech Republic. Nalgiev was charged with an administrative offense, but the trial in Minsk was cancelled, because a decision was made to extradite him to Russia.

On May 9, human rights organizations called to prevent a violation of Nalgiev's rights and not extradite him to Russia, where he may be tortured in Ingushetia. Ismail Nalgiev himself promised to go on a hunger strike if deported to Russia.

On May 11, Ismail Nalgiev was brought to Nalchik, Magomed Mutsolgov, a rights defender and a participant of protests in Magas, wrote in his blog on the "Caucasian Knot". "Now, he is at disposal of the investigator from the investigating team of the Chief Investigating Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), who is in charge of the criminal case opened after the events of March 27 in Magas. At present, investigators are preparing to charge him," Mr Mutsolgov wrote in his message "Youth leader Ismail Nalgiev brought to Nalchik".

Magomed Mutsolgov has suggested that Nalgiev, like more than two dozen other activists, will be accused under the article on the use of violence against a law enforcer.
