85,000 KBR residents take part in "Immortal Regiment"

The "Immortal Regiment" march has become the main event on the Victory Day for residents of Nalchik and other cities of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 9, the "Immortal Regiment" marches dedicated to the memory of the participants of the Great Patriotic War took place in many cities of Russia and abroad.

The celebration of the Victory Day in Nalchik began with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame. At 11 a.m., the "Immortal Regiment" march began along Lenin Avenue. It lasted for about 40 minutes; it was headed by Kazbek Kokov, the Acting Head of the KBR. Residents of Nalchik of all ages joined the action; many young children were dressed in military jackets and caps.

According to the authorities, 46,000 people took part in the march in Nalchik; and overall, 85,000 – throughout the KBR.
