Azerbaijan reports machine gun shelling of two villages

Within the last 24 hours, positions of Azerbaijani militaries in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 22 times; the villages located in the regions bordering on Armenia came under fire, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 29, Azerbaijan reported 22 shelling attacks of its positions. On the same day, the Armenian MoD accused Azerbaijani militaries of shelling a section of the Yerevan-Tbilisi road near the village of Baganis, Tavush Region.

During the period of April 29-30, the ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated for 22 times, including from large-calibre machine guns, says the website of the MoD of Azerbaijan. The shelling was conducted both from Armenia and from the territories that Azerbaijan treats as its occupied ones, the MoD has stated.
