Dagestan: detainee confesses to preparing attack on policemen

One of the five persons detained in Chechnya and Dagestan on suspicion of preparing terror acts, has told law enforcers their plan to attack policemen with the help of a quadcopter.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 23, the Russian FSB reported the detention in the capitals of Dagestan and Chechnya of five members of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court. Components for making bombs, a revolver, four grenade launcher shots, two grenades, three combat knives and ammunition were seized from them.

The detained IS members had planned to attack the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) with the help of a quadcopter equipped with a bomb. One of the detainees has confessed to it, the TASS reports with reference to the FSB.

"I was plotting an attack; I wanted to buy a quadcopter and install a special trigger mechanism on it that is made at the IS; I wanted to use an improvised explosive device (IED) stuffed with striking elements and attached to a quadcopter; in this way, I wanted to make an air attack," the TASS quotes the video disseminated by the FSB.

According to the man, he is the organizer of the alleged attack, and his team should consist of four members, the "Kommersant" reports.
