Third Ingush activist detained over the day

Rashid Aushev has become today, together with the activists detained earlier, Khasan Katsiev and Akhmed Nalgiev, the third suspect in the case of clashes with law enforcers at a rally in Magas, the advocates, Akhmed Kaloev and Magomed Bekov, have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in the city of Minvody, law enforcers detained the Ingush activist Khasan Katsiev; and in the city Magas, Akhmed Nalgiev was detained. According to Kaloi Akhilgov, an advocate, the detentions were conducted in connection with the clashes that broke out of law enforcers and participants in the rally in Magas; Katsiev and Nalgiev were taken to Nalchik.

On March 26, in Magas, a rally was held with the demand of the resignation of the Ingush leader. On March 27, an attempt to disperse the protesters resulted in clashes. According to investigators, 10 law enforcers were injured. On April 2, the police started mass detentions of activists.

"Aushev, Rashid Bekkhanovich, [born] in 1979, is another detainee in the rally case," Mr Akhilgov wrote in his Twitter page today. According to his calculations, after the rally in Magas on March 26-27, overall 21 activists have become figurants in criminal cases.

Magomed Bekov, an advocate, has clarified that there may be 22 people. "If we count Khasan Katsiev, Akhmed Nalgiev and Rashid Aushev, then some 21-22 persons were [detained] only on criminal cases. About 100 people have been attracted administratively. They detain people every day," the "MBKh Media" quotes Mr Bekov as stating today.
