Nazran Mayor reconciles with his son's offender
Aslanbek Tumgoev, the head of the city administration (Mayor) of the city of Nazran, has decided to forgive Isropil Barkinkhoev, a resident of Ingushetia, who had wounded his son during an armed conflict. The reconciliation ceremony took place in the central mosque in the presence of about 200 people.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 28, a source said that traumatic pistols were fired in the building of the Nazran Mayoralty. As a result of the incident, a Mayor's son and two more persons were slightly wounded, while the attackers managed to escape. The Mayoralty then explained that the conflict arose on domestic grounds and had nothing to do with the protest actions then held in Ingushetia.
The reconciliation rite of the Ingush families of Tumgoev and Barkinkhoev was held in the central mosque of Nazran with the participation of famous theologians, elders and public figures – about 200 persons in total. According to the traditions and local adats (customs), the elder in the Barkinkhoev teip (family clan) apologized for the offense and asked the Tumgoev to forgive his relative. The aggrieved party agreed to reconcile, the "Interfax-South" has reported today.
