Azerbaijan counts 21 shelling attacks during the last 24 hours
The positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled, including from large-calibre machine guns, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 16, Azerbaijan reported about 20 shelling attacks in the conflict zone.
"The units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using large-calibre machine guns, violated the ceasefire regime in different sections of the frontline for 21 times during the last 24 hours," the website of the Azerbaijani MoD reports.
The armistice announced after the escalation of hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone in April 2016 failed to stop the opposition of the parties. Shelling episodes are recorded every day on the troops contact line.
