Blogger Abdurakhmanov treats mobilization of Chechen mass media as his victory

The Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov has noted Ramzan Kadyrov's and his supporters' stormy reaction to his criticism of Kadyrov the elder, announcing his victory in confrontation with Chechen authorities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 10, a video posted by Abdurakhmanov about the opposition of Akhmat Kadyrov and the president of the unrecognized Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Aslan Maskhadov, triggered new statements of the head of Chechnya and pro-government theologians.

Abdurakhmanov has also commented, for the ROMB project, on Kadyrov's initiative to reorganize Chechen mass media. The head of Chechnya demanded from all employees of local mass media to become bloggers and "resist disinformation" in social networks.

"In fact, he says: 'All the lies that we pour into people's ears on television, each of you must now pour into their ears in social networks too'," Tumso Abdurakhmanov has explained.

On April 13, Adam Shakhidov, a theologian and adviser to the head of Chechnya, posted, on the YouTube by the "Chechnya Today" agency, a video response to Abdurakhmanov.

Adam Shakhidov answered Abdurakhmanov's question why Akhmat Kadyrov spoke against Aslan Maskhadov. At the same time, he accused the blogger of his intent to "split the Chechen people" and "sow discord."
