Films by directors from Kosovo and France regarded as best at SIFF-2019

In Abkhazia, the Second Sukhumi International Film Festival SIFF-2019 is over. The Grand Prix was shared by the films "She" by the Kosovo film director Mora Raka and "Monsieur Endersen" by Thomas Scohy from France.

The closing ceremony of the SIFF-2019 was attended by more than 400 people, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

About 3000 applications from film directors of countries all over world, including Spain, France, Germany, South Korea, Poland and others, were sent to take part in the festival.

The third place and a monetary prize of 50,000 roubles was awarded to Anton Mamykin, the author of the film "White on Black". The jury decided to abolish the second place and divide the Grand Prix among the above films by Mora Raka and Thomas Scohy, who received statuettes and 150,000 roubles each.

The audience was especially impressed by the documentary "GULAG Women", an Oscar short-list nominee in the category "Best Documentary".
