Cleaning park around Kadyrov's residence estimated at about RUB 35M
Chechen authorities have announced a tender for servicing the territory around Ramzan Kadyrov's residence. A total of 34.88 million roubles have been allocated for this from the republic's budget.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2018, Chechen authorities announced a tender for the maintenance of the building of Kadyrov's residence, by allotting RUB 51.1M from the republic's budget.
The area of the residence is 64,000 square meters. The building, worth about RUB 10 billion, was built in a palace style in the area of 260,000 square meters on the bank of the Sunzha River.
The winner of the tender will have to clean the territory from garbage, take care of the lawn, counter weeds and perform other works, the RBC reports.
Chechnya is a subsidized region. The decision of the Russian Ministry of Finance to cut the 2017 republic's budget was treated by Kadyrov as "unacceptable."
Let us remind that Chechen authorities' multimillion spending have repeatedly outraged local residents. In particular, in October 2018, the highest flagpoles in the world bearing banners of Russia and Chechnya were erected in Kadyrov's residence. Locals called it a "demonstration of loyalty" to President Vladimir Putin and tied it to the funding of Chechnya from the budget of the Russian Federation.
