NAC reports about two militants killed in Kabardino-Balkaria

Suspects killed today in Kabardino-Balkaria were involved in an attack on policemen in the Baksan District and in the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 2, in the Baksan District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), a car driver opened fire on the policemen, who stopped him for inspection. The policemen were not injured, while the gunman fled from the place.

The attack on the policemen in the Baksan District on April 2 became the third armed incident in Kabardino-Balkaria since early 2019.

According to the NAC, the killed suspects had links with the IS*, the "Interfax" reports.

In the house of one of the killed suspects, law enforcers discovered an underground room for hidden living.

A gun, a submachine gun, ammunition for them, and an improvised explosive device (IED) were found at the place of the shootout, reports the website of the Investigating Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
