Four activists arrested for participating in protests near Nazran

In Magas, the court arrested for 10 days four participants of a spontaneous rally in highway at the entrance to Nazran. Other two protestors were fined.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 26, residents of Ingushetia demanding the resignation of Yunus-Bek Evkurov prolonged their protest action in a square in Magas without a sanction of the authorities. On March 27, attempts to disperse the protesters resulted in clashes with law enforcers. People left the square only after the protest leaders had called them on to leave the place. However, later on the same day, hundreds of people blocked for several hours the "Caucasus" highway at the entrance to Nazran.

In Ingushetia, the second wave of mass protests within six months has undermined Yunus-Bek Evkurov's reputation in the eyes of the Kremlin, political analysts believe. The Kremlin will replace the leader of Ingushetia in the near future, when his resignation will not look like a concession to the protesters, the political analysts suggest.
