Social networks users treat judgement on Zarifa Sautieva's case as fair
The court judgement to reinstate Zarifa Sautieva at work, after she was dismissed for taking part in protests against the agreement on Ingush-Chechen border, is fair, social network users believe. Zarifa, who associated her dismissal with political motives, plans to go to work on March 25.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 25, Sautieva was fired from the post of deputy director of the Memorial Complex of Repression Victims in Nazran. She believed it was because of her participation in rallies against the change of border with Chechnya.
According to Ms Sautieva, during her work at the museum, there were no claims to her from her bosses; she was only told that they "disliked" her civil position.
Facebook users have responded positively to the judgement. Some felt that the activist was dismissed for political reasons, but the judge made a fair decision, not looking at the authorities' attitude.
A number of users have warned that attempts to dismiss Zarifa may continue.
"It's hard to believe. I'm afraid that the superior court may overturn the judgement and rule on the opposite," said Fatima Kodzoeva.
The agreement on the Chechen-Ingush border, signed on September 26, 2018, by Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov, triggered mass protests in Ingushetia. On December 6, the Russia's Constitutional Court found the agreement compliant with the Constitution.
