South Ossetia hands over two citizens to Georgia
Alan Margishvili and Giorgi Chitishvili, who were detained by South-Ossetian law enforcers, were released and, after paying a fine for violating the border, handed over to Georgian law enforcers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 13, on the Georgia-South Ossetia demarcation line near the village of Karapila, two residents of the Kaspi municipality were detained by South-Ossetian law enforcers.
The two Georgian citizens, detained by South-Ossetian law enforcers near the village of Karapila, were released on March 14. This information was confirmed by the State Security Service (SSS) of Georgia, the "Georgia Online" reports.
The 35-year-old Alan Margishvili and the 22-year-old Giorgi Chitishvili were transferred to Georgian law enforcers at the checkpoint in the village of Ergneti, the "Georgia Online" has reported.
By the decision of the Leningor District Court of March 14, the above detainees were brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine; after paying it, they were handed over to the Georgian authorities, said the officials.
