Former Chechen law enforcer complains about detention of his son
A man, who introduced himself as a retired law enforcer, recorded an audio message on the YouTube service, criticizing his former colleagues, after his son was detained in Gudermes.
"The ... division ... [keeps] my son ... You know what and how they invent in divisions," the man said in his audio message recorded in the Chechen language, after introducing himself as a former Chechen law enforcer, and complained about the unjustified detention of his son for singing a song in a café. (The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated the appeal from the Chechen language. So far, the "Caucasian Knot" cannot check the truthfulness of the facts presented in the record).
The message was posted on the YouTube on March 12, and by 5:54 a.m. Moscow time on March 15, it scored 12,917 pageviews, 270 likes and 66 dislikes. According to the author, at the moment of recording, his son was kept by law enforcers for the second day, and in response to a request to clear out the case, and, if necessary, apply administrative punishment to his son, the man was driven out into the street.
He said that four members of his family were killed by the militants; and he himself was wounded, "he was always loyal to the authorities, always tried to provide possible support from himself." "Today, that's how they treat me; injustice is being done ... they hold my son ... he's turned only 18 years old," the man has noted.
