Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov did not confirm the end of case against him
Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, showed on his Instagram a resolution to stop the criminal case against the Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. The blogger himself said that he had not received any notifications from investigators.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abdurakhmanov had blamed Daudov for not fulfilling, within six months, his promise to stop his criminal prosecution.
According to the Chechen law enforcers, Abdurakhmanov had links with Syrian militants.
The blogger is convinced that by stopping the criminal case, Ramzan Kadyrov's supporters are trying to strengthen the arguments of the Polish authorities, who would not give him political asylum, the portal "Kavkaz.Realii" writes.
The termination of Abdurakhmanov's case could create additional problems for the blogger, said Aslan, an activist of a local NGO.
Let us remind you that Abdurakhmanov, put in Russia on the wanted list, had tried to get asylum in Georgia and Poland. In September 2018, Poland refused him, but agreed to give protection to his family.
