The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about a series of attacks on oppositionists in Georgia during the country's presidential electoral campaign, which ended with the November 28, 2018, voting. Only in the city of Akhalkalaki, five activists of the "United National Movement" (UNM) were beaten up.
Mr Napetvaridze was attacked when he was walking with his wife. The attacker hit him with a stone on the head. The activist with a brain concussion was hospitalized. He himself said that he did not know the attacker and his motive; he has a broken finger and a head injury, the "Sputnik Georgia" reports.
David Napetvaridze's party colleagues demand from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to conduct an objective investigation as soon as possible.
