Police report suicide attempt in central Yerevan

A local resident has tried to enter the building of the Armenian government in order to threaten a public suicide in protest.

On February 19, the man with a girl tried to get into the building. He wanted to threaten to commit suicide, if his demands were not met, the press service of the police has announced.

The man was detained, the "News-Armenia" reports. He is a 54-year-old resident of Gyumri, the "Shamshyan.com" citing its source. It is not reported what kind of problem had pushed the man to an extreme step.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 10, 2018, law enforcers saved a man, who poured gasoline over himself at the residence of the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan.
