Law enforcers release one of detained residents of Grozny District

One of the three residents of Tersky was released without charging, two others are suspected of having links with militants, their relatives have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives had informed about the detention on February 11 of three residents of the dwelling settlement of Tersky; relatives complained that they knew nothing about their whereabouts.

All the detainees are young people under 25; they knew each other. One of them was detained in Grozny, two others – in the Grozny District, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent handed over the information received by the detainees' relatives.

"Our [guy] was released because they found nothing against him; the other two are kept at the police station, allegedly, for their links with militants," a relative of one of the young men told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to unconfirmed information, the two remaining detainees are suspected of having contacted militants in Syria through social networks. The Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has refused to provide any comments on the detention of the above three residents of the Grozny District.
