Relatives report detention of three Chechen residents

Law enforcers detained three persons on February 11. Till present, relatives are not aware of the detainees' whereabouts.

The detention operation was conducted by law enforcers in camouflage uniforms, who refused to explain the reason for which three young people were detained, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a detainees' relative. "They took away with them a son of my close relative, together with two other young people. I don't know why they were detained," said Lechi, a local resident.

"On February 11, in the village of Terskoye, law enforcers in camouflage uniforms took three guys away with them. Relatives are trying to find out where the detainees are being kept," said Khusein, a resident of the Grozny District.

Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Chechnya refused to comment on the information about the detention of people from the village of Terskoye. "I cannot explain anything, since I do not have any information at the moment," a MIA's official told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
