Chechnya and Dagestan split Lake Kezenoi-Am

The discussion of the Dagestani-Chechen border in Grozny passed without conflict, said Shamil Khadulaev, a member of the Dagestani delegation, showing a map fragment with the border across Lake Kezenoi-Am. Residents of Dagestan called on the authorities to ensure the open process of delimitating the border with Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Tuesday, February 5, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, and Khizri Shikhsaidov, the Speaker of the Dagestani People's Assembly, met to discuss the mutual border.

Ramzan Kadyrov has explained that the correction of the borders of Chechnya with the neighbouring regions is performed by the instructions of the Russian leadership. The Unified State Registry of Real Estate contains information only on two out of 27 borders between the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), namely, the border of Karachay-Cherkessia with the Krasnodar Territory and the border of Chechnya with North Ossetia.

Meanwhile, residents of Kazbek, Botlikh and Babayurt Districts of Dagestan are "concerned that the delimitation issue can be used for provocative purposes," the "Chernovik" (Graft) writes.

The voyage of the Dagestani delegation to Grozny is not properly covered in the republic, the author of the Telegram-channel "Ask Rasul" has noted.

He has added that Shamil Khadulaev was the only representative of public organizations in this delegation, although the Speaker of the Dagestani Parliament had promised to include activists into the delegation.
