Speaker of Dagestani parliament comes to Daudov to discuss border with Chechnya

Today, Khizri Shikhsaidov, Speaker of the People's Assembly of Dagestan, has paid a return visit to Magomed Daudov, the chairman of the Chechen parliament, to discuss the issue of the border between the two republics.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 22, at a meeting in Makhachkala, Magomed Daudov and Khizri Shikhsaidov agreed to clarify the borders of the two republics in order to include the information in the state register of real estate. Ramzan Kadyrov explained the clarification of the border between Chechnya and the neighbouring regions by the instructions from the country's authorities.

The Unified State Register of Real Estate contains the information on only two out of 27 borders between the regions of the North-Caucasus Federal District (NCFD), including on the border between Karachay-Cherkessia and the Krasnodar Territory and the border between Chechnya and North Ossetia, reports the "Rosreestr" (Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre, and Cartography).

Earlier, Magomed Daudov has announced the visit of the Dagestani delegation, reports the news agency "Chechnya Today".

According to the "Rosreestr", the presence in the register of information on borders "contributes to the efficient management of land resources and real estate, quality budget planning, increasing investment attractiveness, and creating favourable conditions for doing business."

The Russian authorities are seeking to prevent new conflicts over territories, but they will have to look for special political solutions for Northern Caucasus, political analysts state.
