Policeman wounded at attack in Nalchik dies
Aslan Balkarov, the DPS (road-and-patrol service) inspector, who was wounded in the attack committed in Nalchik, the capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) on January 25, has died in hospital on Monday, February 4, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attack on DPS inspectors in Nalchik was committed on January 24. Three of the four attackers were killed, the fourth one died in hospital. One policeman was stabbed. The relatives of the casualties said they did not know anything about the causes of the attack. Analysts saw no political motives in the attack.
"Aslan Balkarov has a wife and a daughter left," says the website of the Chief Department for the KBR of the Russian MIA.
