Law enforcers report about Arashukov family's collection of cold steel arms and gold

During searches at the apartments of Rauf Arashukov, arrested senator from Karachay-Cherkessia, and his relatives, law enforcers found a collection of cold steel arms, gold bars, and large amounts of cash, sources from the law enforcement bodies reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 30, Rauf Arashukov, a senator from Karachay-Cherkessia, was detained at a plenary session of the Federation Council, and arrested until March 30. According to investigators, the senator was involved in two resonant murders, as well as in the attack on Ruslan Kardanov, a member of the Cherkessk City Duma, in October 2018.

"During searches in the houses of senator Rauf Arashukov, his father, and their relatives, investigators found a collection of cold steel arms traditional for the peoples of the Caucasus, with elements made of precious metals and stones. The collection includes daggers, sabres, and other items. The law enforcers also found ancient awards, gold and silver bars, and a large number of laptops and smart phones," the TASS quotes today a source close to the investigators.

According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, during the search, investigators found "large amounts of cash," reports the RIA "Novosti".

The approximate cost of cold steel arms and valuables seized from the apartments of arrested senator Rauf Arashukov and his relatives exceeds 13 million roubles, the "TV Channel 360" reports today with reference to an employee of an antique shop in Moscow.
