Three residents of North Ossetia detained after assaulting policemen
Two residents of Beslan and a resident of the village of Suadag were detained in Vladikavkaz after beating DPS (road-and-patrol service) inspectors.
According to investigators, at night on January 25, policemen were chasing a car, the driver of which had broken the traffic rules. They stopped the car at a restaurant, after which the driver fled there and joined a group of people. The policeman followed him and demanded to show his documents. The man said that he had not driven that car; and a group of people began asking the inspector not to punish him. When the latter refused, one of them attacked him, and the other two attacked the second inspector and began beating him up. The inspectors opened fire into the air and used physical force, the Investigating Department (ID) for North Ossetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported about the attack on policemen in the Mozdok District of North Ossetia. At night on March 2, 2018, three policemen were wounded at shooting. On suspicion of the attack, residents of the village of Kizlyar, Mozdok District, aged 23 and 25, were detained. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) then reported that firearms and narcotic drugs were found on them.
