About 200 families wish moving to Galanchozh District

For the week that has passed since the start of the collection of information about those wishing to move to the Galanchozh District that is bordering on Ingushetia, about 200 families have declared their intention to return to the lands of their ancestral, said a source from the Ministry of Economic Development.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Chechen authorities announced their plans to restore the Galanchozh District in late 2018. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, promised to create "conditions for living, leisure and attraction of tourists" in the territories bordering on Ingushetia and announced the Year of the Galanchozh District in the republic.

"The work on collecting data on the natives of the Galanchozh District, who are ready to move to their ancestral villages, continues in all municipalities. Over the past week, more than 200 families have already expressed their readiness to return to the fathers' lands. There are also many questions asked about the resettlement issues. People are interested in whether any assistance will be granted to resettlers by the state, how social problems and creation of jobs will be addressed, and so on," an official from the Ministry of Territorial, Economic Development and Trade of Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" on January 18.

He said that the republic's authorities are developing a "roadmap" for the development of the municipality in question.
