In Tbilisi, three persons injured in an explosion still stay in hospitals

In Tbilisi, a child and two adults hospitalized after an explosion in a multi-storey building continue receiving medical treatment in hospitals. The child's condition is assessed as satisfactory, doctors report today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 16, on the outskirts of Tbilisi, an explosion in a nine-storey building killed four persons, including a child who died in hospital. The day of January 17 is announced to be a day of mourning in Georgia.

One of six children injured in the explosion of domestic gas in the residential building on the outskirts of Tbilisi still stays at the hospital, reports today Tamar Kikishvili, a doctor at the Iashvili Central Children's Hospital.

"In total, six patients were brought to our clinic. Of them, five have already been discharged, and one still stays at the department of critical medicine. At the moment, his condition is satisfactory. Upon the arrival, the patient underwent urgent surgical treatment," said Tamar Kikishvili as quoted by the "News Georgia".

According to the edition, in total, eight people, including two adults were hospitalized after the gas explosion. They were brought to the Academician O. Gudushauri National Medical Centre. The patients are expected to be discharged from the hospital today.
